i'm thankful...

* i'm thankful i get to leave iowa city, my apartment, and get to go see my mom and my friends in des moines. yes, that i am truly thankful for. there is a very pleasant warmth that comes over me when i think of how little i will be here in iowa city and in this apartment over the next couple weeks that i am deeply thankful for.

* i'm thankful for my mother and my friends in des moines for being there and being available to me this thanksgiving. i'm thankful i get to spend time with every one of them even though it will be such a short time. but i am truly thankful for the timne and friendships! cuz i love them and miss them. i'm thankful my mother and i will crack eachothers shit up together like we always do. lover her love her show!

* i'm thankful for my friends in new york city especially travis. i get to spend time with all of them also. and thanks to travis for him and i getting the ball rolling. i'm thankful travis is alive and well and back in my life. i'm thankful i get to see old friends in new york city, such great old friends. and my new new york friend jackie! who showed me her true side as i did mine this summer bringing together two worlds that may never have collided! for that i'm thankful.

* i'm thankful just knowing i have someone like my friend rosa in my life. pure genuine understanding me in the realest most familiar way,rosa.

* i'm thankful that i have had autism and persons with disabilities and children, typical and not, in my life to keep me real. to keep superficiality (is that a word.) from sucking my f.ing soul out of me like many people i have encountered. and on that note - i'm have genuinely thankful for every single camp friend i have made (anna!!) i am thankful for cuz you, i, we know importance and heart.

* i'm thankful to be alive and know as much as i don't have conrol over the universe there are a lot of things i do have control over. that change is not only good but very possible. that things that stay the same can provide a great comfort as long as they are not hurting me.

last but not least....

* i'm thankful that i know what truly matters, even if i do get carried away in this world and its "stuff."
